PPA STUDENT AWARDS

PPA Outstanding Pharmacy Student Award 

Annually, the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association presents the PPA Outstanding Pharmacy Student Award to one graduating pharmacy student at each of the seven Pennsylvania schools of pharmacy. This award honors and recognizes students who have been most active in PPA during his/her academic years. Recipients are selected by their school’s faculty or student awards committee, however PPA can decide if an individual is deserving of this award.

School of Pharmacy Awards – Student Chapter Awards

These awards are presented at the PPA Annual Conference to the School of Pharmacy who has shown excellence in any of the following areas: Government Relations and Advocacy, Membership Development, and Public Awareness and Communications.

Government Relations and Advocacy Award

This award is presented annually to the Pennsylvania School of Pharmacy that has made outstanding efforts in support of legislative and advocacy initiatives that promote the pharmacy profession and further the government relations priorities of PPA. The purpose of this award is to encourage schools to become involved in their state professional organization while becoming more aware of its related advocacy efforts and the potential impact on their careers and future.

Public Awareness and Communication Award

This award is presented annually to the Pennsylvania School of Pharmacy that has made outstanding strides in community outreach, media outreach, and communications tactics to enhance patient care and public health and strengthen PPA and Pharmacy in Pennsylvania.

In recognition of outstanding efforts in community and media outreach and communication strategies promoting pharmacists, students, and the provision of patient care.

Membership and Involvement Award

This Award is presented annually to the Pennsylvania School of Pharmacy that has made outstanding efforts in membership, participation, and recruitment of students in order to strengthen PPA and Pharmacy in Pennsylvania. The purpose of this award is to encourage schools to become involved in their state professional organization by sharing benefits with fellow students and taking advantage of leadership opportunities in order to pave the way to their futures in pharmacy.

In recognition of outstanding efforts in student membership recruitment, retention, and participation.
